------Before the Beginning------
Across the stygian murk of the yawning void, there was nothing save the antediluvian expanse of silent all-consuming stillness that was, yet is, and when all ages have passed, will be again as the transcendent All fades away. This early on the notion of context is alien, no space to be bent, no time to pass, for eternity and a day, no-one and no-thing held sway. Then, as had come before and may come again, non-existence yielded to the triumphant flare of a single monolithic expression of Being so pure and powerful it could be described as none other than the Spark of Creation in the absence of darkness. Its origin is arbitrary, retroactive, and self-evident, its machinations inconceivable to even a transcendent overmind but the weight of its presence undeniable. A Spark is no more than a speck of dust without fuel and a watchful eye to tend the flames, and so it is that the First of Many came. Either born anew in ascension by its emergence or awakened from the faint, vanishing memory of a world that was and would never be again, each bore a fraction of its potential, what would be world sundering power in ages to come, with it, their deific hand would stoke the flames and determine what shape they would take.
Throughout the abyss a faint echo resounds, upending the oppressing weight of stillness and substituting a strange, new sensation in its wake. Thrumming and reverberating in concerto to an orchestra of instruments not yet made, the stubborn darkness is buckled and rent aside to give way to a resplendent light that refuses to die. Almost infantile and wreathed in spheric gold, cradling a conductor's rod, eyes closed in sync to the symphony; so it was that Aré-Nylied, the Conductor, Musica Universalis, God of Order, Music, and Life came into being.
Roused by the clamor, at first impression near-discordant but on further reflection akin to a tapestry woven of sound, a distant awareness is brought to turn its contemplation inward. There is no visible or tangible change in the emptiness, nor is it likely such would ever change, but that the resolute expanse kindled by the Spark's initial ember had emerged and was to stay could not be denied; so it was that Vishan, The Lord of Beyond, The First, The Lord of Forms, The Eternal Blue Sky, The Final Frontier, The End of Nothing and Everything, God of the Upper Sky, Borders, and Cosmos came into being.
Shuddering as the music came to fade, a howling wind overtook the pitch, whistling as it grew to a mighty gale, taking umbrage with the thought that such could go on in perpetuity. From the eye of the storm there molted from the skein of the void a dull grayed skull in bull's shape, replete with luminescent fungi on its right side, bearing a rack of horns nigh unto rusted bronze churned forth amid an unseen stew of gusty froth; so it was that Mirtis, The Omega, The Winds of Change, the God of Decay, Death, and Wind came into being.
Then, the song came to cease, leaving naught in its aftermath but a vague dissatisfaction churning in the blackened murk, dreaming of what was and could yet be again. Pulsing in perpetual flux, the shadows took a form which then claimed its own, changing from one moment to the next, never the same and lurking below, avariciously conceiving such wonders and terrors as none other dared devise; so it was that Phorys, Blackfish, Dreamer in the Depths, The Protean, God of Deep Waters, Dark Places, and Dreams came into being.
Finally, the symphony with no audience to bear witness was no more, but where the memory began to fade, a divergence came, some say two sprung from one source, others that one was sundered into two never again to rejoin, in disagreement of thought they fell into a schism and where unity could have been, only lasting division lingered. Two were they, each the elder and the younger, the former seeing the parts forming the composition and claiming the sum of their works, the latter sensing the pattern of the preeminent piece and seeking to master their knowledge; so it was that Schematicos, The Grim Puppeteer, Heaven's Trickster, The Divine Facilitator, the God of Time, Plots, and Patience was joined by Sjardic, The Calculator, The Grand Librarian, the God of Knowledge, Time, and Fate as both came into being.
These were the Primordial Gods, and they numbered six. The Spark of Creation beckoned, begging each to explain their vision, yet every one knew, down to the deepest portion of their essence that if reality was to be made, it was to be cohesion with each decision they made, measured on a precarious balance, lack of unison as they planned the fundamental architecture could be catastrophic or perhaps, preferable. The Spark of Creation was theirs and theirs alone to shape, but whether they would devise a grand work to hold steadfast through the passage of ages remained to be seen. The Spark of Creation crackled in silence, waiting to see which of its stewards would be the first to speak.
------So It Was That The All Began------

The world must take after an orderly approach. Each life must be directed by the purpose of its kind, the plants to be straight and grow in repeated patterns, the land unchanging. For things to be chaotic is to ensure the world's eventual collapse. I say the world must be a plane, to put every object on the same layer will lay flat how each object will interact with another.

And so the God spoke, "Hearken, my brothers, and listen. For from this weave of possibilities, I propose to shape a World such as I have dream, of Beauty and Glory, of Evolution and of the Grand MUSIC."
"Let us sunder the Spark of Creation, and fragment it, Such to fill the gulf of space with an infinite firmament About the World, such that the Young Peoples that We Shall make, shall gaze upon Our Glory, and worship."
"And let these, the Stars, be ordered in accordance to The Principles of a mathematics, and let them take ORDER among themselves, each according to the Dictates of their composition."
"And let the Dictates of Composition be of balance, Of Positive and Negative, of Seen and Unseen, Of Known and Unknown, of What Is and What Will Be, Of Light and of Darkness, of Us and What Is Not."
"And from the harmonious interplay, let there be MUSIC, and let it fill the gulf of space, for all who Should listen. And let the Music of the Spheres, The greatest symphony, be a Glory Unsurpassed."
"And from the Grand Symphony, and the Firmament, Let there be lesser spheres, and let there be many, Of many forms. And upon these spheres, in accordance With the Dictates of Composition -"
"Let the power of the Spark of Creation be drawn from The Stars, and let there be possibility. And though the Weakest Spheres shall go void, and be husks in The Void, let some be given LIFE."
"And LIFE shall begin small, as nothing but mere Chance. And let Us descend upon the sphere, the Most Brilliant among them, where the Spark shines More than any other, and let Us make work."
"And from LIFE shall there be the lowest of beasts, As well as enormous brutes, And let all be part of the Shared System, as an Inescapable Cycle. And let them Live, and Die; and let them Beget, and be Begotten."
"And from so humble a Beginning, among the Beasts of the World, Let there be those among them Who shall be like Us, and develop intelligence, And develop Will, and witness Our Glory."
"And let it be MUSIC which distinguishes Beast From Man, and Will from Absence; and let MUSIC Mark the beginning of Communication, and of Record, And echo the Spark of Creation, to Mortalkin."
"And with MUSIC, let Mortalkin learn to shape The World around them; and let them develop the Lesser Power of Creation, to shape tools as we may, And to build for themselves, a civilization."
"And as chief of mortalfolk, do I propose the race of Man, as the Beast Made Ascendant; and I propose, That by the Dictates of Composition that I lay out, that Man shall be a creation in My Image."
"And that Man shall be created; Male and Female, Man shall be created. And MUSIC shall be first and Foremost, the Gift given unto them, that they may Shine most brilliantly, in all Worlds to come."
"And with the Gift of Music, that divides Man and all Of Mortalkin from Lower Beast, Let there be ORDER; And let this order be the civilizations they shape, And their Common Sense of the World about them."
"And let them perceive, in time, the Dictates of Composition. And let them tremble at the expanse Of the Universe, and at their smallness in Space, And let them Worship Us, who have made it all."
"And Let them Know, that it is ORDER that defines The Universe; that chaos is but an illusion, and that All Things have their role. And they shall accept Our Law, and create their own Laws, in deference."
And so did the Conductor speak, in a voice both Male and Female, both Wise and Innocent, both New and Ancient, both Discordant and Harmonious, And consider the assembled Primordial Gods."

In the shifting blackness that could easily be mistaken for the the darkness of preexistence the shape of Phorys coiled and uncoiled. The strains of the symphony of creation still played again and again in His head, if even imperfectly. Losing its cohesiveness but none of its power. The possibilities were dizzying. Drifting through the abyss He could feel more than hear the declaration of another being, forming ripples and bands in the shapeless realm that surrounded Phorys. The will for an ordered world certainly could be deemed an improvement, but at the same time the note felt sour as the idea rolled in the many maws of the Protean.
Truly life in any fashion must follow, but to be so rigid seems a waste. Instead the God in the darkness dreamt of many things, myriad purposes and myriad shapes to continuously change as they existed. Layers and spheres colliding, intersecting and separating. Structured or chaotic, He did not care but He truly and earnestly wished it to be.

Schematicos stirred, intrigued by the proposal of his kin.
"What a grand idea Man is! A mortal bearing the form of the divine. I predict they shall be most amusing!"
Schematicos' divine mind boiled, as the shear number of possibilities almost strained him. It was not long before a small handful of truly devilish plots bubbled to the surface. He pondered them as if inspecting fine workmanship.
A metallic shriek rang out into the void, as the cogs of Schematicos began to spin. Before, he was dormant, now, he was alive.

The Universe must be created in a series of layers and borders. First layer will be made from the World, It should be a celestial body made out of huge amounts of rocks, with a huge cave network underneath. Orb makes for a most optimal form for this layer, as it will be the center of the universe and the distance between it and everything else will be exactly the same. First border is the surface of the World. Zeroth border are the caverns. Secound layer shall be made out of sky. It is a meta layer separating the World from the harsh beyond. Secound border is a place where blue sky turns black. Third layer houses the Blue Wanderer, a globe made entirely from water, its dance controls the movements of water on the World. Third border cannot be seen or felt, but it exists Fourth layer is where moving lights in the sky reside, they dance joyfully around unmoving Nexus of Stars, a globe made out of silvery rock. Fourth border is characterised by a large amount of loose rocks, meteors and dust clouds floating around. Fifth layer has 3 different globes, all of them made from large amounts of rock. These are barren wastelands made out of spare resources, they serve no purpose for now. Fifth border is where reason ends Sixth layer, is made out of colorfull clouds and loose gases. Sixth border is the body of Vishan, beyond it, there is nothing.

A coarse, deep voice spoke over the rhapsodic murmuring of the Gods.
"The World, no matter its shape and what lives upon it, will live as The Conductor's men and beasts live; so too shall it sire an heir, which will take shape as its own living World with new men and beasts upon it. The World, having reached its end, will die as all mortals must. All the men and beasts walking upon it, all the plants growing from its soil, shall wither away into nothingness after a great rending of wind. Its remains and history will wander the cosmos until they too turn to nothing. Its child will perpetuate the cycle - living until it sires another, and in so doing wither, die, and float lifeless beyond the boundary. When The World chooses to bear progeny will be left up to its own discretion; The World will know when its time has come." Mirtis turned to Musica Universalis. "As The World ends, so will the First Symphony, victim to the decadence that grips all things. Its replacement may be another grand concert, or the sound of The Second World may be merely the whistle of the wind, the splashing of the tides, and the murmuring of life."
Thus voices ended and, but for a moment, silence took their place.

Phorys had withdrawn into revelries as He listened to the others speak, the vibrations of their dialogue generating patterns and shapes as filled with meaning as their divine words. The thoughts of Creation, of Men and of Beasts filled His head as He pondered what shapes they could take. If they were modeled after the form of the divine what interesting things they could be. The Protean felt His chest swell with anticipation until it burst asunder, forming into five heavy suckered limbs in the configuration of a star burst which seemed caught in an inexistent current as he bobbed Himself in time with with the words plotting the course of the new world. The thought of this strange Music being the great line of demarcation of Greater and Lesser mortals intrigued him, and it could be something interesting to behold in motion, to hold in His hands, to send spinning one way or another.
The discussion of the formation of the world was passing Him as He continued to dream, but then a new voice came upon Him and He was broken from his joys. A new voice, one promising an end to all things, here at the beginning. Myriad eyes beheld the one who promised a far off doom upon the divine venture. With a voice like oil seeping from the ocean floor and clouding the surface, Phorys spoke for the first time.
"And why must we allow this new thing to be destroyed to just be replaced by another? If we are to craft it for our own pleasure should we not make a world to continue without end?" "No. The beings that move on it should change, should live and die to be replaced and continue onwards. Only we should be without end. Us, and the realm we will create to house our works"

Sjardic sits quietly, absorbing the information of his peers. His lower hands are open, yet hold nothing. In His other hands He holds His palms closed. In the following several seconds, Sjardic has spent hours prophesizing the final outcome. Finally His hands open, in His left there is a pair of the proposed mortals; one male, one female. In his right, a nondescript model of such a bordered and layered universe. Though displeased with His acquaintances' decision for a universe with such a world with entropy, the mortals intrigue Him. Though they carry potential for acts without precedence, to grant them intelligence would allow for them to create knowledge is a pleasing offer. The Omega's proposition however inspired dread, for the destruction of the world could spell the eventual doom of the Gods. The faceless being shifts his eyeless gaze, as the mortals rotted and crumbled to dust, and the universe gradually cease locomotion before fading to nothing, leaving all four of his hands empty.
"Beware your very wishes, Mirtis." A slithery, echoing voice called.
"The Spark which created Our very beings is diminishing oh so gradually as we discuss. I nearly did not catch it. To create a world designed to die is to await Our own demise. What should it be should no child carry over? Should the world remain indecisive and selfishly grip to its life for every last second, what then are We left with? Rather than a universe dominated by perpetuity, it should be infinite! So long as there is Time, the world should continue its existence and defy oblivion!"

So it was that the Gods came to be, so it was when they first spake. In the wake of the symphony, each lingered in silence, waiting for something none could name with baited breath before a rhythmic dirge of meaning rung, breaking the quiet beneath the implication of its balance. Five beheld the one as his voice was raised, mechanical in precision, more predictable than the rising tide of a shore yet unmade. This one, the last to come but first to speak proclaimed his passion, that the All must be measured and methodical, of laws inscribed by divine decree and immutable by all underneath the cosmos. A shape was proposed, a flat plane wherein neither chaos or disorder could hold insidious sway. This The Grand Librarian claimed, would stave the onset of decay and ensure Creation endured.
All sat in silence, considering the merit they felt it held, before Aré-Nylied parted its lips, and from its voice came a song of such power the firmament trembled. The Musica Universalis uttered that the world ought to be of Beauty and Glory, cavorting in Evolution, a thousand parts in discordant harmony, their interplay ushering in the assemblage of a Grand MUSIC. It spoke that the Spark would be sundered and Its light preserved, set to break the endless black in pinpricks of heavenly light dancing to the sublime Symphony of Spheres, such that the multitudes might gaze above, and know the Majesty Divine. This Aré-Nylied said, that made in its image would come the first of all peoples, Man, risen from the lowly beast, given unto Will, onto Order, both taken and, by lowly hand and by humble voice, driven to the making of MUSIC.
Such was written.
The Blackfish writhed in the timeless murk, contemplating that which was, that which would be, and that which it desired. He considered all that might be, recalling the transcendent song which spun darkness given thought from the void, and found the prospect that the world to come's shape be bound a shameful waste. To witness life change with the passing of ages was paramount, inevitable, beautiful in a way, but why then should the ground trodden upon be stagnant? No, such could not be. Another way must exist; cyclic or structured he did not care, but what was to be would be bereft of static.
The Divine Facilitator bore witness to The Conductor's tune, deeming part worthy, and one wondrous beyond compare! The notion of Man, made in the shape of divine, given minds to devise lofty dreams and hands to see abstract fantasia made tangible in physical fashion... Such brilliance! Plans danced within as he considered, feverishly howling rapturous elation! Yes, with the coming of the world below, Man would BE! In time, such marvelous machinations would be wrought and woven, but first, a Creation, each part intricate clockwork, waiting to be forged!
Predating All, The End of Nothing and Everything pondered the Beginning. He would be a part of the Creation, this was without question, but what was to be remained to be seen. For a time he meditated on the shape, then woke, putting abstract pieces into a confluence of shape yet unmade, a hypothetical, a puzzle of layers and borders arrayed in a pattern resolute in stature yet fluid in make, shrouded within and made complete by his body. Six layers, six borders, each reaching outward from the cavernous Orb at their center.
Reeking wind blew from an angle made and unmade in the same motion, touching each divine and ceasing to be in a single breath; each eye turned and appraised that bullish skull whose sockets still whistled in its wake. The Omega made his ultimatum, lurking demise an impossible distance away brought to the forefront of attention, the unthinkable made unavoidable beneath an utterance at once a harsh whisper, at once a screeching whirlwind, that All would come to an End, and from Its rot would spring forth another, such was the way of things, and such would be again. Creation. Not condemned, clarified.
An accusatory hiss reverberated, of the predatory malice a parent holds for their newborn's sake, questioning that an End must come from the Beginning, that while the life must grow, and die, and thrive in spite, there is no reason the All might not endure and remain beneath the divine, for-ever and ever. This, the first hostility, was The Protean's work, and against it The Winds of Change came to still, calmly appraising the fine line between ignorance and good-nature. In concordance, but loathing prospect of change, The Calculator spoke for the second time, denying that decay should be inevitable, obstinate in proclamation that all that is, shall be, over and over again though an eternity should come and pass. The divines watched, not knowing what was to come, and wishing to see even as instinct cried out that a clash so early on would harkon calamity.
Then came the first flicker.
Enraptured, the Gods beheld the visage of the Spark of Creation, gazing into Its kaleidoscopic depth as It unfolded to reveal a vision of what was to come. ---The First Vision of Creation---
-A Grand MUSIC underpinning All in accordance to ORDER-
-deific Law firm and unbroken, yet bent and twisted by whimsy of Chaos- -Life, both bestial and refined, adhering to the Law and ORDER, ever-dancing to the MUSIC of Evolution and Change- -A Universe comprised of Layers and Borders, six in number- twelve together- shrouded by Vishan- -A cosmos, twisting and turning to the Symphony of Spheres, a testament to Majesty Divine- -Beneath the cosmos, the race of Man, of Will unto ORDER, and the making of MUSIC- -An End to All, encroaching onward but held at bay by a Will and Law unflinching- ---Is Such To Come, or Yet Another?---
This model of Creation the Gods must ponder, was it complete, or a more refined touch would it receive?

And upon hearing these things, the God did meditate, And envision the cosmos which was began to form. In hearing the reverberating noises, and the words, The holy words, of the other Primordial Gods:
Thus did the God speak: "Hearken! In such a model as I propose, Death shall be, As of MUSIC, and of ORDER, the twin to LIFE. And through death, new LIFE shall bloom."
"Yet of the world, consider: In the sundering, In the spreading, of the Spark of Creation, And the twinkling of cosmic stars - those great Testaments to Our Glory, and brilliance -
- and through the Dictates of Composition, And through the structured ORDER from which, In accordance with our calculations, the first World, Shall see the growth of LIFE, and Mortal Man -
So too, in time, shall the pattern of possibility, In its own ORDER, to the universal symphony, And Music of the Spheres, See the emergence, On other lesser spheres, of new LIFE.
And so shall we descend upon the First World, And we shall greet mortalkin, who have though MUSIC come into Wisdom, and through Wisdom, To ORDER. So shall it be, with them.
And to them shall be a challenge: To escape. To be free of the sphere that gave them LIFE. To travel the stars, and to bring LIFE, Though that first sphere be doomed.
And should they fail, we shall sleep once more, And upon awakening, in accordance with that which, Through ORDER, we might calculate, Descend upon a second sphere, and a third,
And a fourth, and a fifth, and a sixth, and more. For Time, though it may bring Death to mortals, Has no meaning to the Gods. For though worlds, And Men, are of stardust: It is we who shape it."
And, then did the Conductor smile. "Thus, MIRTIS: The First Symphony shall past to the First among Mortal Man. And it shall, in time, evolve. And parts, In order, shall die, and be replaced.
And thus, the First Symphony, shall cease. And, In the passing of aeons, a Second shall be born, On a distant sphere, in response to the MUSIC Of the cosmos. But perhaps it shall not be alone."
And so did the Conductor ponder that thought. And dream a universe, near infinite in grandeur, Bleak, desolate: But from its tiniest spheres, Under the light of their preserving stars,
There, Mortalkin would thrive, and Man, in turn, Would take his stage. And the Conductor did see, Though it was but a chance, that Man would alight, And fill the void with LIFE, and MUSIC.

Mirtis pondered the Conductor's proposal, and while his mind wandered the winds went silent.
"The compromise is acceptable - rather than a single world which dies and is reborn, there shall be many which will die and die alone. Men and beasts will be left to their fate lest the former has the wherewithal and ingenuity to flee the sphere - or plane, or whichever other shape the world takes - upon which they begin their lives."
Then, after reaching his agreement with The Conductor, he spoke again. "As for men - they should live their lives in three parts: Wakefulness, where they will walk, build, and play; Sleep, where they will dream and recover from their time awake; and Meditation, through which they will have the means to commune with us, the gods. These three states will occur in the order thus described, beginning with wakefulness and ending in meditation, upon whose end men will wake once more. Men who are wakeful will stand, men who are sleeping will lie, and men who are meditating will sit." Thus spoke Mirtis.

Many a dubious eye from Phorys still tracked the skull god as he discussed his compact with the Conductor. The god of death and decay may be sated for now, but the Protean was still suspicious and knew that he would have to be watched. Forever will He remember how Mirtis tried to portend such doom and the colors of his words will forever stain his image in the mind of the God in the dark.
Yes still He could not discount his words and his suggestion of the division of a mortals life into three stages. To wake and walk upon the world,to sleep and to dream, and to commune. Of all these the second spoke to Him the most, a resonance stirred within Him as He saw the prospective of dreams shining and brilliant before him like a pearl in the palm of his hand.
"This plan is more reasonable than your last, for them to live in thirds I will support. To make their own works, to rest, and then to commune is a fitting cycle for them to follow, be they standing laid down or sitting it matters not." Willing His recently acquired limbs to shift into plated legs He pushed down and held himself aloft in the darkness of pre-creation. "And for now, oh brothers of mine, where shall you cast your attention on this world of man with caverns beneath and heavens above? Where do you wish to see yourselves in this world that is coming? Should Vishan wish to be amongst the highest of the firmament then I shall find it fitting to go below, securing creation between myself and he"

The void seemed to flicker when Vishan thought. He marveled at the ideas of his brothers, their difference in their vision of this new universe "Existance cannot create Inexistance." - Voice as clear and loud as lightning pointed out, emerging from seemingly nowhere. "If there has to be Life, and there must be an end to it, it cannot be the end of Existance. If the Worlds have to die and be reborn, so should all other aspects of Existance." His voice suddenly became much colder, every syllable freezing eternity and time itself. "Including Us."
"As for other matters, I agree to both the myriad of worlds and worlds dying and being reborn. New worlds should be born from the remains of the destroyed ones over aeons. There should exist a celestial body destinied to produce new materials for new worlds if need arises. So too should there be one that consumes matter if there is too much of it, and stores it so that it can be utilized later."

Schematicos pondered the idea of his existence ending. It did not sit with him well; he would have to come up with a plan for this.
"Why is there a need for a celestial body to produce materials for new worlds? As dead mortals rot, they fuel the existence of those that still live and those that are yet to live. Let the worlds recycle the same." "What constitutes a dead world, or a living one for that matter?"
"Another matter vexes me: The meaninglessness of mortal lives. Once they end, they cease to feel the effects of their actions. I propose a spark of immortality for every mortal, a soul." "Upon their death, a mortal's soul captures their mind and essence, then carries it beyond to a realm where only souls may reside. I shall watch over this realm and judge the souls within. If the mortal squandered their chance at life, their soul shall be cast into a state of perpetual suffering. If the mortal is deemed worthy, their eternal soul shall be rewarded."
"This shackle shall serve to motivate mortals beyond simple hedonism before they expire. They shall make the most of the life we have given them."
